Diets! Why Fad Diets Don't Work!

Fat loss exposed! Many people do not realise that the human body physiologically adapts to stresses and stimuli in about 6 weeks. Diet fads such as "Low Carbohydrate and High Protein" or "High Fibre" diets or "Calorie Counting" diets and "Macro" diets etc are designed to only last a short while then you plateau. You throw this diet fad out and opt for another then another and before you know it you've followed about 5 maybe 6 or more FAD diets and detox programs in that one year alone which promises to kick start your weight loss process.

The best way to burn fat is not to restrict your dietary intake counting every calorie you've consumed on a daily basis. This leads to your body going into starvation mode and severely lowers your Basal Metabolic Rate. Seriously bad news and can't be emphasised enough. Nor is it to ramp up your exercise schedule until your exercising 2 hours a day trying to shift that body fat. Over training is a recipe for disaster.

It is generally accepted that a good way to burn fat is to get into the ZONE. What I mean by this is your heart rate zone. The ideal heart rate zone for burning fat is 60 -70% of your maximum heart rate. Don't worry' I've given you a simple formula below. While in this zone you will find you'll perspire but you'll be comfortable and you will be able to hold a full blown conversation. There are other ways to burn fat but this is by far one of the simplest and more enjoyable ways to get the job done. Remember drinking water is essential to help in eliminating toxins from your body so do remember to keep your self well hydrated.

220 minus my age 30 = 190. x 0.60 = 114. Do not allow your heart rate to go any lower than this.

220 minus 30 = 190 x 0.70 =133. Now this is your upper limit and you aim to keep it below this.

Don't worry if you can't manage 45 minutes straight away as you can build up to it and this is unbelievably easy to do. A brisk walk with a heart rate monitor would show you just how simple this is. You could even ride a stationery bike while watching your soaps or a film or listening to some music.

Now this is very specific and has proven to work amazingly well, especially when incorporated in to a proper eating regime. I did not say calorie controlled diet as you see mentioned so many times as that is counter productive, just eat more sensibly and eat smaller meals more often to stimulate your metabolism and whatever you do. Never ever miss your breakfast, its your breakfast which breaks your fast for the night and raises our metabolism for the rest of the day, this is why its called Break-Fast.
