by Allan Beaulieu Many people who follow a diet and exercise regimen often ask what is the more effect solution to weight gain, exercise or diet? Well it is with out argument that the optimal solution would be a balanced combination of both as they do compliment each other. A fat burning diet and exercise are the two essential factors to weight loss. However it is interesting to know which one drives the best results. I attempt to answer this question to see if it is diet or exercise that is the most effective. Weight gain is without a doubt a global epidemic. Studies have shown that this mainly stems from poor eating habits. After countless tests and experiments from health institutions all over the world, the general consensus is that a quick weight loss diet, or a fat burning diet generally has a greater impact on weight loss than changing your exercise routines. In fact, results have also shown diets are approximately three times more effective than methods of exercise particularly in diabetic diets. This is mainly accredited to the fact that lessening consumption of calories is much easier than burning calories already consumed. When using a diet, it allows you to focus more on controlling your intake of foods giving you the structure and discipline needed to lose weight. Also maintaining healthy eating habits with a fat burning diet has shown to be much easier than maintaining an exercise regimen. The reason for this is with quick weight loss diet, you are only altering your eating habits while exercise is a new habit in and of its self that must be created in most cases. The counter that exercise provides according to more recent studies is that those who choose exercise seem to reach their long term goals. Studies have show that participants that used various methods of exercise were shown to maintain their results over a longer period of time than those that have changed their dieting regimens. This leads many to believe that exercise enables one to lose weight and better maintain the results where as a quick weight loss diet has a quicker rate of weight loss but does not maintain the results as effectively as exercise. In conclusion, it would see that exercise and diet both have distinct advantages or one another. Using a fat burning diet or a method of exercise can do wonders for weight loss. The question of which would be more beneficial would be dependent on the one choosing the workout plan or quick weight loss diet.
