Weight Loss - The Right Mindset For Getting to a Size You Can Be Happy About!

By Claude J Anthony

Weight loss is a good thing! I mean who doesn't want to shed enough pounds to get to the weight they are happy with? Everyone want to get to their ideal weight, however, getting there takes the right mindset.

Without the right mindset, you will never get the physique or figure you desire.

It's Okay To Think Thin For Weight Loss!

So you want to look good. That's not a bad thing. Everyone wants to look good, and, for the greatest part, those who say they don't care if they are overweight are probably just frustrated with failed weight loss efforts and just want everyone to believe they are okay with the way they are.

I must be honest with you. I personally do not know anyone who doesn't care about the way they look. And a real problem arises when we think there is something wrong with wanting to be the right size.

Sure, you want to look your best. Sure you would like to be able to get back into that old pair of jeans or that bathing suit you used to wear. And sure you would like to look good, not only to others, but to yourself.

It's such a sinking feeling to look in the mirror every day and think, "How terrible I look...I hate this fat!"

It's no fun to feel fat!

It isn't fun to shop when you have to try to find clothes that hide your fat!

It isn't fun to feel like everyone is looking at you and judging you for your size!

No, you don't have to look like a model, but there sure is nothing wrong with wanting to have a physique or figure you are not ashamed of. So why not go for one that really looks good!

The Right Mindset For Weight Loss!

Go ahead and feel free to want to look your best. Having a great desire to get rid of that fat and look good is a great motivator for weight loss. No, you're not vain or overly proud for wanting to look good.

Look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Hey you, I want to look trim and fit and I am going to do something about it!" And occasionally think about how wonderful it will be to be at your proper weight and looking good.

That's a good thing, but let me give you a word caution...do not seek to get skinny like some of these strange looking fashion models. Skinny is not healthy and skinny does not look good to anyone unless they cross their eyes. Well, I guess some people think skinny looks good, but I sure don't.

A little meat on the bones looks good and adds to your figure so don't go overboard ladies.

And of most importance, don't ruin your happiness by worrying about your weight. Just think thin and do what it takes to get there.

So to get your weight loss program off to a good start, stick with a thin (not skinny) mindset.
